Briefly is operated by Arnsbo Ventures (Denmark). This page covers what data we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it out.

What we collect

  • Your email address, which we use to deliver your daily brief and to sign you in.
  • The LinkedIn profile URL you give us at signup. We fetch the public profile data behind it (name, headline, about, experience, location) to draft your initial brief configuration.
  • The sources you configure in your account (blogs, subreddits, LinkedIn creators, competitor websites, X handles).
  • A history of the briefs we send you and which items we've already surfaced to you, so we don't repeat ourselves.

What we don't collect

  • We do not track your browsing, build ad profiles, or share your data for advertising.
  • We do not log IP addresses beyond what Vercel retains for standard infrastructure (see below).
  • We do not read, store, or process your outgoing email.

Where your data lives

We use a small set of processors, all under standard data-protection terms:

  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting (US + EU regions).
  • Vercel — web hosting and function execution.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Apify — LinkedIn profile and company scraping.
  • Anthropic via Vercel AI Gateway — LLM calls for drafting and summarizing briefs. Anthropic operates under zero-data-retention for Vercel AI Gateway traffic.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account from the account page, we remove your user row, person row, source history, seen-item ledger, and sent-brief history. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data. Edit and delete are self-serve from the account page. For access and export, email jan.armbruster@includio.com and we'll send you a JSON dump within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this page materially, we'll note it in the "Last updated" date above and, if the change affects you, email registered users.
